Why does my CO log only show one entry even after multiple jobs?
Every change order gets its own unique number. You must tap RESET / NEW CO between jobs — that increments the number from -001 to -002 and so on. If you skip RESET and fill in a new job over the old one, both COs share the same number and the log updates the first entry instead of adding a new one. Think of RESET as "tearing off the old form."
02 · Workflow
What's the difference between REOPEN and DUPLICATE?
REOPEN loads the exact CO back — same number, same date, same signatures — so you can add the client signature later and regenerate a SIGNED version. DUPLICATE copies all the line items and description into a brand-new CO number with blank signatures. Use it for repeat work at the same property or for a similar job with a different client.
03 · Signatures
My client wasn't on site. How do I get their signature later?
Generate the PDF now — it saves as a DRAFT with a watermark. Send it to the client however you like. When they're ready to sign in person, scroll down to the Change Order Log, tap REOPEN on that CO, have them sign the Client Signature pad, then tap GENERATE PDF again. The new PDF will say SIGNED, the watermark disappears, and the log entry updates automatically.
04 · Saved Items
How do I save a line item for reuse?
Fill in the item description and unit cost, then tap the ☆ star button on that row. It saves instantly and appears as an orange chip below the ADD LINE ITEM button. On any future CO, tap the chip and it drops into a new line item with qty 1. Tap Edit next to "Saved items" to delete any you no longer need.
05 · Your Data
Is my data safe if I get a new phone?
Everything — settings, logo, saved items, and your full CO history — lives only on your device. To move it to a new phone, open Business Settings, tap DOWNLOAD BACKUP, and save the file to your cloud storage or email it to yourself. On the new phone, open the app, go to Business Settings, tap RESTORE BACKUP, and select that file. Done. Nothing ever passes through any server.
06 · Offline Use
Does this work with no cell service?
Yes — 100%. Once the app has loaded on your device, it works in concrete basements, metal buildings, and dead zones. All calculations, PDF generation, and saving happen entirely on your phone. No internet connection is ever required to use the app.
